‘CREDIT FOR LIFE’ FAIR – New Bedford High School held a Credit for Life Fair, a special event designed to prepare seniors for life’s financial realities. “Students were given a fact sheet on their projected salary and debt at age 25, and they had to budget for housing, transportation, clothes, food, furniture, cellphone bills, and retirement savings. They assessed one-time payments and monthly costs, and decided how much of their expenses they should charge to a credit card. This event encourages students to make honest and realistic financial decisions and show them the impact of those decisions.”
